The new year is here and at least 2 people in our house have had to go the doctor's office already. We are off to a great start. LOL!!! I guess we are trying to hit our out of pocket early this year. :) Who knew.
Well anyways...
School started back up on Monday and as I was getting ready to take Gavin to school Rhett walks into my room grabbing the back of his head on the side where the shunt is placed and told me that his head hurt. (At this point I was panicking.) I asked him calmly what he did and he said nothing. OK, What the crap!!! So I said, "Rhett can you go to school or do I need to take you to the doctors?" (Usually when I say that they instantly perk up and are ready to avoid the doctors office.) He on the other hand was kneeling next to my bed with his head laying on my bed and still grabbing his head. He was silent for a little bit and I let him be that way for 60 seconds since I was trying to get out the door with Gavin and if I needed to call the bus driver I had to do it soon. So I asked him again and he said that he needed to go to the doctor. CRAP!!!!! This would happen after a two weeks off of school and the first day back he can't even go. Seriously if you are going to get sick do it before you have to go school silly boy. :/ LOL!! So I called the bus driver as I walked Gavin to school and let her know that Rhett wasn't going to be going to school. As soon as I got home I find out that while I was gone he had thrown up. (GREAT! Sigh.) So I send everyone else out to school and then call the doctors office. There first appointment with his doctor wasn't until 10:30, so I set it up at that time then asked Rhett if he wanted to wait or go into the walk-in clinic that is between 8 and 9. I will usually take him if the doctor that is working that knows him and gratefully it was a doctor that knows him. (Thank you for the tender mercy.) By the time we were headed to the doctors office it was almost 8:30 since he said he didn't want to wait until later. We get there 3 minutes to 9, and the walk-in clinic was almost closed. I told them that we have an appointment but he said that he needed to come earlier. They got us back quite quickly since they all know us. :) (Yes we are famous at the doctors office.) So they check him in and (another tender mercy) he doctor sees him before the rest of the patients that were already starting to show up since he was there. He was having problems breathing so the doctor gave him a breathing treatment and told him to take his medicine. He then turns to me and says... "If he is having a hard time breathing that could cause headaches and vomiting." Nice to know. Wish I would have known that before.
By Wednesday I was coughing thanks to my lovely boys who are not sure how to cover their mouths and wash their hand properly. I need to put them in a bubble so they don't get sick and in turn won't share their colds and viruses with me. Since they just love to cuddle when they are sick. I called my doctors since I couldn't stop coughing and I was having a hard time with my breathing since I could feel whatever it was in my lungs. They were just not very nice to me on the phone. They said that my doctor didn't have any appointments open until sometime next week, and that there were no doctors available then she suggested I go to InstaCare and not even wait until the next day let alone next week. So I went to InstaCare just to be told I have the same virus that the boys have and they put me on breathing treatments and cough medicine. Well it is now Friday and I am still coughing like crazy. At least I have a slight voice and I was able to go to work for a few hours until it was too much and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I came home and slept for about an hour before the kids started coming home from school. If you ever want to work out your abs without putting making an effort get a virus that makes you cough like no tomorrow. It is the smartest way to work out your abs without having to really do anything. LOL!! Ok so I honestly would not recommend it EVER!
It is nice having a set schedule and having the kids back in school even if the homework battle has started back up. Ok it isn't even very hard waking up at 5 since I am able to at least stretch in the morning before the kids all need to get up and going. As long as everyone gets healthy before next week I will be very grateful. I think I have it worse than anyone right now and it is horrible. I think I need to see what I can do to invent that bubble. :) When I get it down I will let everyone know and they can buy them from me and that way it will help keep everyone healthy. HAHAHA!!!
I hope you all have been having a great new year so far. :)

Looking back and looking forward
As the year ends and the new year rolls around I look back and breathe. I made it through a really rough year! I am amazed that I am able to put things into thoughts, since there is so much going on in my head. So as I try to put my thoughts down please forgive me of my randomness and jumping all over.
I had to take Rhett into the doctors before Christmas his breathing was increased, he maxed out on his oxygen at 4 liters on his tank and 5 liters on his machine at home, and even with the breathing treatment it didn't help much. The doctor decided to put him on antibiotics we are hoping that the antibiotics help kill whatever is making him struggle more than normal.
Found out while I had Rhett at the doctors office that Nikole had or has a bladder infection again. I was frustrated since the test was done in November and I never heard anything. Normally isn't it: "No news is good news"? Whatever I plan on following up to the point of harassment if this continues since the doctor wasn't sure how they even missed that to begin with. She just finished her antibiotics and I pray that will be the end but I highly doubt that since we all know that when you are in school you don't have the freedom to use the bathroom as you like. Well she does because of a health care plan, but like she actually will use that privilege. Yeah Right!! At least the pills she took were horse sized and that usually dissuades her from wanting to take them again. LOL!!
Hi-ho hi-ho back to the doctors we go!
Gavin was lucky to get sick the weekend after Christmas if being sick is lucky. Vomiting most the day Saturday and coughing like crazy through the weekend. Lucky child has a virus and we have to pray it goes away so he doesn't get anything else on top of this to share with his siblings.
Dylan was also a lucky little man and got an ear infection over the weekend too! He is now on antibiotics and I am praying it goes away with this medicine so I don't have to take him back to the doctors for a while. I mean I like the doctor and all but gosh it would be nice not to see him on a monthly basis. At least after some ibuprofen and some numbing drops he was able to sleep through the night Saturday and cough like crazy the rest of the weekend.
The last visit to the doctors this year thanks to Gavin and Dylan. They certainly know how to send off the year and welcome a new year. Ok boys pull it together so we can get through the month of January without making unscheduled doctor visits. I think I can, I think I can....
As I look forward to a new year I am planning on changing my outlook and I am planning on accomplishing so much more. I would love to go into details but it will have to be a surprise, since I haven't set it up yet and I am not in the thick of it yet. I can't wait to get started! I am almost excited seeing what I can do to make this next year so much better. One goal I have is to blog every week since things get a little busy, but I am planning on at least once a week updating the blog so that way I can keep you informed on my progress and I hope that by doing so encourages me to be better.
I hope you all have a very Happy New Year!!!

Day one!
It is the first day of a New Year!!
There are many things that I am going to do this year and it is going to be a rocking year.
On my things to do list is:
1. Help as many people as possible.
2. To be able to help my family more.
3. Start working on finishing my basement.
4. Get out of debt!
5. Have more structure.
6. Lose weight, at least 20 lbs. before the end of the year.
Well that is quite a list. :( I guess I have my work cut out for me don't I?
I am going to make this year be the best!
I am tired of being drained so I am going to do what it takes to not be that way any more.
We got a new door for Christmas and we put it in for the new year. It is a wonderful Christmas present and I am very grateful for it. Thank you Jaim and Katrina.
I wasn't ready for a new year to come but like it or not it came so, I am going to embrace it and do the best I can with what I got. The best is going to be AWESOME!!!!

Well the begining
Well the Year has started and it has already been a crazy year. I have Mr. Dylan who has been waking up at 6 am not wanting to take any naps and then really cranky the whole day. I have Mr. Rhett who is not sure if school is fun or not. Mr. Gavin who is trying so hard to not be nice to his older siblings that he is whining a lot and complaining often. Miss Nikole who doesn't want to do anything except play with stuffed animals. WOW this year could have started off better but I guess you take what you get and make the most of it. At least the 1st doctors appointment is on Friday the 9th and that is good that means I don't have to worry about anything as long as the kids are well. Everyday I send the kids to school except Mr. Gavin and Mr. Dylan I pray that they will stay healthy and will not bring anything sickness home with them that way all of them will be healthy through the school year. Well hope you New Year has gotten off to a great start!
