Be prepared!

Here is a great opportunity for everyone to come and learn what they can do to help their families in case there was an emergency.  It is always good to be prepared.

Please save the photo and come and learn lots of stuff that I am sure will help.  Fun things and a great way to learn new things even if you think you already know everything.

NAMISS Pageant Saturday!

Gratefully Saturday was not as crazy busy as Friday was at least I think.  LOL!!  The worst of it was that we had to be there by 7:30 am.  But it was the whole family so we all had to wake up very early and we did!  We made in time!  Then Nikole had to do her personal introduction at 8:00 am.  That is where she had to get up and introduce herself and tell a little bit about herself.

She is actually on stage next in line to speak in front of the judges.

She is giving her speech that she has practiced so much.  I didn't hear very much of it, I guess she will have to speak up.  Since Dylan was talking and throwing a fit.

She did great and I am so proud of her!!!  After she got up and introduced herself they had all the young girls including her go and do interviews which is where she sat down with a judge one on one and talked with them.  We were not able to see that or be able to support her except from a distance.  When she came back to the room where we were waiting we all cheered and and I gave her a big hug and told her how proud I was of her.

After that we had a little break and was able to go get some breakfast since of course none of us had eaten anything before we left the house.  We were lucky that the next time she had to be somewhere was at 11:30 am to practice her dance number for the final pageant.

Well she just didn't want to wait so I took her in and got her ready while daddy stayed with the boys and did some stuff with them.  After she was changed and ready we still had 1 1/2 hours to kill before the practice.  So we went in the hall and found some of the other parents that had girls that were her age and in her group.  They sat there and played and when they were not sitting there they were running around.  LOL!  Thank goodness for technology!  We had a great time visiting.  It was too bad that we couldn't do that too much before, since Nikole had to pick out who she thinks would be Miss Personality in her age group.  But they had a lot of fun running around and playing.

They are all watching a video or something on a phone.  He he he!  So happy that they made new friends and hope we can keep them as life long.

Then they had to get to the room where they were to practice that dance.  Here are a few picture from the practice.  She doesn't know how to dance very good but she gave it her best.

Then they were told to run to their moms.  LOL!  Nikole is a blur...

After that I was at her side the whole time and had to give the camera to daddy and he got the rest of the pictures until we left and got home.  Here are some of the pictures that daddy took.

Most of the next pictures are blurry so I will only post the ones that are not as blurry as others. LOL!  Since she is dancing and so is everyone else.

They only learned the dance about 2 hours before they preformed so she is concentrating really hard so she only smiles a little bit.  They wanted all the girls to smile like crazy the whole time but they were all trying to get the dance right.

A little blurry  but it is expected when you try to get a picture of someone dancing and you are not a professional photographer.  Well daddy was taking all the pictures since I couldn't see her.

All the girls had a chance to stand in front and since Nikole started in the middle since ended in the back, but that is ok.  Since she is taller than many of the girls.

This is where I jumped up and headed to the dressing room to make sure that I am ready to help her change.

As Nikole was changing this lady was starting to introduce the princesses.

Then they started with the Jr. Preteen's and Nikole is number 4 so she is at the beginning.

Than they handed out awards for all the things that went on this weekend.  She got 4th runner up for the actress, runner up for the art contest, and she won the best thank you card!  I knew that she would win best thank you cards, since the thank you cards that she wrote was the best ever!

Here are all the girls that have a chance of becoming the new Queen in their division.  No Nikole isn't up there and she was ok with it.  I am glad that she has shown such great sportsmanship.

Here is the new royalty with all the other girls with crowns.  The new ones are the ones with the flowers.  They did a great job and are going to have a busy year.

Here is Nikole with her awards and ready to go home since it was a long weekend.  LOL!  But she does want try it again next year so watch out world Nikole is on the lose.  :)

I had asked her if she wants to do it again next year and she said she would think about it.  Then after we were in the car headed home daddy asked her if she wanted to do it again and she said yes.  I guess she didn't have to think about it too long.  LOL!  She is actually looking forward to next year.

You all have been a huge support and we are so very grateful for all of you.

NAMISS Pageant Friday!

Well Friday came and it was a super busy day.  Gratefully we didn't have to be at the hotel until a little later in the morning so we got there early.  I when I say early I mean really early.  LOL!

As we headed out for the day.

Yep had the whole crew in tow.

We didn't have to be there until 10:30 am and so we got there at 9:00 am.  Gratefully we did since Nikole actually forgot her shoes that she was going to wear during the formal wear.  I had to make sure Nikole and Rhett were going to stay in one spot and I packed up Gavin and Dylan and raced home just to get her shoes.  I was able to get her shoes and made it back before 10:00 am.  I was so excited that when I got back Nikole and Rhett were still there.  Nikole and Rhett were able to watch the talent show of a few different groups.  Then we headed to the room where Nikole would compete in the actress competition.

Yep I had them all together and they were all sitting eating since they were all hungry.  This was the room and it was before her performance.

She was one of 5 girls in Jr. Pre-Teen.  The bad part was that 4 of the girls including Nikole said the same line. :(  Oh well.  This was her line...

"Mickey, Goofy, Donald Duck and me.  You will find us in the city where magic happens..... Disneyland!  The happiest place on earth."

This is her saying her line.  She just wanted to stand there and not use her hands.  She got all the words correct but it wasn't as emotional as the other girls.

The problem that she had was that she was not as animated as the other girls.  I was really hoping that she would get into it a little bit but that was not to be.

After her actress attempt we had time to kill. LOL!

She was happy with herself and enjoying herself too.

I wanted to get a hair pose since I did her hair and I was trying to get a before and after her formal wear and her other things that she was in.

Since we had so much time on our hand she was able to get on the stage and practice her personal introduction.

Of course the boys were a great help and Nikole practiced and practiced again and again.

Like I said a big help.  LOL!  They look so happy huh?

Than they tried to do a simple circle dance but they were told they needed to stop and take their seats and get ready for the photo shoot and the formal wear competition.

This was right before daddy came.  They were very bored and it was hard keeping them all together.

This was after daddy got there and Dylan was pretending to be a gorilla, and then he fell over. LOL!

This was Nikole's Formal event!  She is BEAUTIFUL!!!!  I tried to get some more pictures but they are all blurry.

We went to dinner since we were all starving and Nikole wanted to go to the 50's party.

It was yummy and the kids behaved ok considering they have been sitting most of the day.

After dinner I took the younger kids home and dropped them off while I took the older kids back for the 50's party.  Rhett joined on the stage with all the boys and men who were there for the boy's dance competitions.  They all got up and danced to see who was the best.

Well to say the least he made it to the finals!  He kicked some BUTT!  What a great dancer! He he he

Right at the end of the day Friday.  I was glad to see the day end.  

It was a long day and everyone was ready for bed.

Then it was Saturday and that is a different post later today.  I am glad that she was able to experience everything that she wanted to.  She was amazing!!!  I loved watching her and see how much she is growing.
