Bedtime blues....

ARGH!  Why is it that when I tell my kids "it is bed time", that they seem to have more questions and just pain disobedient?  They keep getting out of bed.

Seriously How many times does one child have to use the bathroom before they fall asleep?  Let me count...  Rhett, Rhett again, Nikole, Gavin, Gavin again, Nikole again, Rhett again, and again.  Ok let me stop counting it is making my brain hurt.
Oh now then after they are finished using the bathroom then they get up to ask questions.  I have made it a rule that if they get up to ask a question it had better be a really really good question or I am not answering it until the next day.  Some of the questions that have been asked are: "How do I fall asleep?", "Can I play games tomorrow?", "What do I wear tomorrow if I forgot to do my laundry?", "Can I have breakfast at home tomorrow?", "What is this word?", "What does this mean?", "Can we go see Sara?", "Can we go visit Rosa?", "What are we doing tomorrow?", "How do you fall asleep?", and so many more that I cannot seem to remember since they have asked me so many questions.

Most of their questions go unanswered, but still Nikole, Rhett and sometimes Gavin are awake until almost 10:00pm every night.  I am getting so tired of putting them to bed to the point I just want to scream!

How do you get your kids to go to bed at a decent time and get them to stay in bed?  Besides taping them down, tying them down, drugging them, and many other unethical things.

I have tried rewards, consequences, and everything that my mind can come up with and that is why I am asking for help from you all.  Please give me any ideas that you have to help me with this problem that I have.

day 27- Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

Well I thought it would be a good idea.  LOL!  Me and my mind huh?

One of my cousins that is an amazing mom was doing it and I thought heck I think I can do that too.

ROTFL!!!!
Yeah right!!  I made a mess of it didn't I? :)  Oh well, it is almost over which I guess is a good thing.

I hope that it hasn't been hard on you as a reader. LOL!!

day 26- What do you think about your friends

Honestly?!?

Well I think that they are....  THE BEST EVER!!!!

I had you didn't I? :)  My friends are super supportive and they are such great support for me and my family.  I know I would have it a lot harder if I didn't have them in my life.

I feel bad for those that I have been friends with but have decided not to be my friend any more.  Since I think often of all my friends even if they don't know it.

I thank the Lord daily for the friends that he has sent my way.

Thank you friends for being part of my life!!!

What's up?

Well as I have not been the greatest blogger since I was getting up really early and needing to sleep earlier it is now time to play catch up.

Rhett went in for his follow-up with Dr. Uchida who is the pulmonary doctor.  We had to have the PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to see what has happened and to help determine if he is going to have surgery this spring.  Well the test did say that it had improved just slightly.  The doctor thinks that if they don't do the surgery then it will drop.  Meaning by doing the surgeries we are maintaining the currant area for his Pulmonary Function.  With all than being said I did ask him if he would do it if they were going to be as aggressive as they were the last surgery.  He said that would be something that only we could decide.

Talked it over with my husband letting him know what the doctor had told me about the PFT results and what he would do.  He thinks we should go ahead and do the surgery this spring but make sure that the doctor know that he cannot be super aggressive like he was last time.  That was my two cents about the being aggressive.  I refuse to have Rhett go through that again.  So after we had come to this conclusion I talked with Rhett about it.  I told him that the doctors think that this will be a good thing for him.  He then in turn asked me if I thought it was a good thing and I told him that daddy thought it was a good thing.  Smart little boy didn't give up his question.  He then again asked me if I thought it was a good idea.  I told him that I wasn't sure, but I wanted to know what he wanted to do and if he thought it is a good idea.

He asked me if they were going to bruise him like last time.  I told him no.  Than I told him that we are going to tell the doctor that this is not going to be this way and if they do make it like last time then he will never have to have a surgery again in him life.  Since I am not going to purposefully put my child through that over and over again.  He agreed to have the surgery reluctantly.  He doesn't want to have to go though the same thing that he did last time.  I wonder if he is more nervous about this coming surgery than he has been  for previous ones.  I don't blame him since they did that last time.

day 25- What I would find in your bag

I have only started carrying a bag, that is mine not the kids.  I never thought that I would actually have any such thing as a bag since I really never understood the point of a bag.  But I did break down and find me a bag.  Very small so everything has to be small and condense to fit in there.  It helps so I am not carrying a lot of stuff I don't need.

I actually went through my bag today!  LOL!  I wasn't sure that I would have this to blog about but heck here we go...

Calendar - Cannot leave home without it ever!
Notepad - Writing a list is very important.
Nail clippers - actually 3 since my kids and husband keep losing them in the house I figure I better stock up.
Contact solution - Good thing to have to make sure that my contacts are always clear.
Hand sanitizer - Never leave home without it.  You know how gross things can be and then you end up touching something that gross.  Makes me feel better having it on hand all the time.
Tithing slips and envelopes - Have to have them good way to make sure that it is paid in a timely manner.
Wallet - Meaning driver's license, cards, pictures of kids, money (not a lot since that could be bad if something happened to it).
Key to Oxygen - Something that needs to be on hand at all times.
Business Cards - Not a lot since that would take up a lot of room.
Some pens and one pencil - Pens for everything other than the calendar, that is what the pencil is for.  You never know when things are going to change.
Chap Stick - Motives!  It is the best one that I have ever found.
Lipstick - Again Motives, best one that I have found that works for me.
Eye drops - To help clear up my eyes if my contacts are already clean.
Feminine things - Not going there other than better safe than sorry.
Gum - It is a must. :)

Yep that is what I got. :)  Not a lot but just enough.  LOL!  It was a great way to clean it out and get rid of all the garbage that I have had to stash in there until I got to a garbage can.

What does the burgler say to the cop?

Well if you cannot figure it out by the title I will just tell you.  They found out who broke into my house!!  I know I could hardly believe that when the detective called me and told me that either.  I was just so excited to be able to get some answers as to.....

"WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU DO THAT STUPID?!?!?!?"

Just like that. :)  I know that is probably mean but heck I think it was mean for him to break into my house too.  They way that they found him was from the lovely DNA that he left behind in my closet.  I know gross but caught your BUTT!!!

Actually his butt is already in prison.  I know even better easier to track him down.

I would tell you who it was but I can't until later and then you can Google him. LOL!  I know that is what my husband did and found out that this man has an extensive drug history and prison history.  HELLO!!!  Why are they letting people like that out????

Found out this guy has been stealing since he was 12 years old and now he is in his 40's.  Pathetic!!  Seriously get a life!!!  He told the cop that he won't admit to breaking into my house and he won't deny it either.  He said that when he is high on drugs he can't remember what he is doing.  He is already going to be in prison for 10 years and I hope that him breaking into my house and leaving his DNA will keep him behind bars forever!  I mean what is he going to do when he gets out?  That is right go back to breaking in to people house, cars and anything else he can get his hands on to support his drug habit.  Lucky for me I have a great detective working with me and someone just waiting for the ok to prosecute this guy for breaking into my house.  I just wish that he had some idea where my stuff is and would tell the cop!  Seriously you ain't getting out buddy so give it up!!!!

I know this post is short but it is short and sweet.  I will have to blog about Rhett's latest development later since it is getting late and I have a very early morning.
